Like a Cat

From a letter to WJH – a young woman comparing another girl’s experience with Elvis to hers:

“…he wasn’t dirty-mouthed or said cuss words or used four-letter words at all and said poems and sweet things… and he was like a cat, she said, he about purred and he was so beautiful, all his skin and everything, just like I thought, too, and that he gave her an electrical charge too. He was so different, and not real, like men are, you know. Elvis was special and like a real good man, like women everywhere want men to be and they aren’t.”
